There's frequently no reason why a 1956 Arab-Israeli brigade action can't be fought out with 1942 Western Desert forces, or a 1940 battle transplanted to 1944. Interesting actions are too scarce to only be fought once. They can generate unbalanced forces fighting each other and various sorts of scenarios. Of course they can easily get over-complicated. So one answer is to string together sceanrios in various ways. I have a couple of the Grant scenario books, and now I think I need to look out for the Scenarios for All Ages book. The emphasis on horse and musket is not a drawback for me :-)Fitz-Badgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15510866929782142007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1430463007570237159.post-28532188299187913202008-12-17T20:59:00.000+00:002008-12-17T20:59:00.000+00:00I have the Rapid Fire! book (or at least I read it...I have the Rapid Fire! book (or at least I read it and photocopied the bits I wanted). I think Benghazi Handicap is easily superior. Chadwick seems to be something of an expert on the period, particularly regarding the Italians.Keith Flinthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12903769462646267048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1430463007570237159.post-11479222846703059632008-12-17T14:19:00.000+00:002008-12-17T14:19:00.000+00:00Thanks for the mention.. :o))I like the sound of ...Thanks for the mention.. :o))

I like the sound of that Chadwick book - that's gone straight on my list of must buys! The other one to look out for if you're looking for idea's is the Rapid Fire Western Desert book - covers off Feb to June 1941. It's also cheap as it was put out before the more colourful books that came later!Steve-the-Wargamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07077311120172727690noreply@blogger.com
